the i-61 network

Are you a ministry or a missionary that works in justice and compassion? Do you desire to connect more with others who share a similar passion? Join our growing network! We would love to connect and hear how you are addressing these critical issues around the world.

i-61 is linking arms with Vineyard compassion and justice ministries worldwide. We are serving those on the frontlines by connecting through virtual meetings, prayer, and sharing their ministry updates through our social media platforms. We also seek to support these partners by sending them trained volunteer i-61 alumni in the future.

Also, we are looking for like-minded individuals and churches who want to partner with us in our justice church-planting efforts in Myanmar. You can visit Vineyard USA Missions for more information, as well as sponsor a church-planter at Petros Network. Please contact us with any questions.

If this network could benefit your ministry and help you share our vision, please consider becoming a network partner for a greater kingdom impact.

Long Term Work: Myanmar and beyond

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...” - Jesus

The global Vineyard family is a church planting movement made up of over 3,000 churches. Here at Vineyard Boise we are reconnecting to those roots as we commit to plant churches in what has been one of the most closed nations on earth, Myanmar (formally Burma).

We are banding together with a growing number of U.S. churches (currently 8) with a vision to plant 1,000 churches across Myanmar. We believe God is asking Vineyard Boise to step up to see 100 of those churches planted!

Myanmar (formerly Burma) is under extreme turmoil as a country and in the midst of civil war. You can support them by holding them in prayer & giving financially

Why myanmar?

We have a rich heritage that began in the early 80’s when our founding Pastor took his first mission trip to Myanmar to teach English in some of the most impoverished villages. That heritage continues today with the Karen & other tribal people who have found a refuge and a home here at Vineyard Boise for the past 12 years. As we look to the future there is a great opportunity as Myanmar has become much more accessible and open.

We want to seize that opportunity to establish as many kingdom churches as possible. We will only plant churches with indigenous leaders, in areas that no other church or Christian presence exists. Each pastor will be equipped with a theology of the Kingdom and a practice of compassion. This fall, we will be commissioning 30 new church planters into different villages across Myanmar!

how will we plant churches?

God has led us into relationship wth an amazing missionary family and an indigenous pastor’s family. Through connections in Myanmar and Mae Sot, Thailand, they have identified 30+ indigenous Bible school graduates and pastors who want to plant churches in unreached areas of Myanmar. A few of us were able to personally meet these pastors in April of 2018, when we participated in the first training session with them.

In conjunction with Petros Network (a kingdom church planting group), they will be holding these pastors accountable and helping them lead well. Our contacts will travel around the nation and check up on each church, and keep them accountable for any finances given.

For every $3,000 USD we raise, we will cover the costs for one of these 30 pastors to be sustained for two years while they plant a church! The money will cover their costs to travel to Mae Sot twice a year for training & support with the other indigenous leaders, provide a small monthly stipend for their family, and cover costs for the accountability system.

These pastors are excited to join a group of like-minded pastors who want to take the gospel and the practice of the kingdom to the poorest of the poor all across Myanmar!

Please consider joining us in this opportunity to impact this nation for Christ!
